Emergency Department Redevelopment–$49.5million

The ED redevelopment aims to address the increasing demand for emergency care inPerth’s northern suburbs. Key features include:

  • A new entrance canopy to protect patients and visitors from the elements
  • Expanded triage and waiting areas
  • A dedicated urgent Critical Care Toxicology Unit for alcohol anddrug-relatedpresentations
  • Enhanced observation wards and ambulance triage facilities
  • A ‘Fast Track’ area for ambulant, low-complexity patients
  • A ‘Pitstop Area’ to streamline early management for patients requiring admission

Construction is being carried out in multiple stages to minimize disruption to ongoing services.
