The Joondalup Health Campus (JHC) is undergoing a significant redevelopment toenhance healthcare services in Perth’s northern corridor. The $269 million project,jointly funded by the Western Australian and Commonwealth Governments, is beingdelivered over eight stages by Multiplex, with completion anticipated in late 2025.
Key Features:
- Mental Health Unit: A new 102-bed facility, completed in August 2023, featuringpatient bedrooms, recreation zones, shared lounge and dining areas, and visitorspaces.
- Public Ward Block: A five-storey, 112-bed block including a 30-bed medical andsurgical inpatient ward, a 16-bed Cardiac Care Unit, and 66 beds reserved forfuture demand
- Emergency Department Expansion: Addition of 12 new Emergency Departmentbeds and a specialised Behavioural Assessment Urgent Care Clinic
- Infrastructure Upgrades: Enhancements to the Central Energy Plant, newoperating theatres, a cardiac catheterisation laboratory, and expanded parkingfacilities for both staff and the public.
This redevelopment aims to transform JHC into one of Western Australia’s largest healthcampuses, ensuring it meets the growing healthcare needs of the community.
