Hamersley Public Golf Course, originally established in 1968, underwent atransformative $20 million redevelopment completed in December 2024. Thecenterpiece of the upgrade is a two-level, 30-bay automated driving range featuringadvanced ball-tracking technology, digital simulation gaming options, lounge seating,and food and beverage service throughout the venue. The new pavilion, named SunnySocial, includes a 500-person bar and restaurant, multi-purpose function room,café/kiosk, alfresco area, toilets, and pro shop. Additional enhancements encompassupgraded car park facilities, improved pathways and wayfinding, and minor courseimprovements. The redevelopment has significantly elevated the facility’s status,attracting over 132,000 visitors in its first three months post-reopening and earningmultiple accolades, including the G.K. Watters Local Government EngineeringExcellence Award.
