The Radiation Oncology Centre at Albany Health Campus in Western Australia wascompleted in early 2023 to provide advanced cancer treatment services to the GreatSouthern region. The facility features a state-of-the-art linear accelerator (Linac) suite,delivering high-energy x-ray treatments that target cancer cells while minimizingdamage to surrounding healthy tissue. This development eliminates the need forpatients to undertake long journeys to Perth or Bunbury for radiation therapy. Theproject also included the addition of 70 car parking bays to accommodate increasedpatient and staff needs. GenesisCare has been awarded a 10-year contract to operatethe facility, working alongside clinicians from Albany Health Campus to delivercomprehensive cancer care locally
